Pancake Day!

To celebrate the wonderful pancake day our Chefs & Nutritionist’s have shared 3 great recipes below.

You can try the classic thin and tasty Crepe, the stacked to the roof fluffy American style or finish off with an amazing savoury take with Korean style prawn & spring onion pancakes with just a little bit of a kick!

Crepes

  • 150g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 300ml milk
  • 1 tbsp oil, extra for frying
Method

For the crepe batter –

  1. Sift the flour into a bowl, make a well in the centre, add the egg, egg yolk and oil.
  2. Beat in half of the milk, stirring rapidly at forst, then more slowl;y mixing the flour form the sides of the bowl.
  3. Stir in the remaining milk and the batter is ready to use.

To cook the crepes/pancakes –

  3. Pour off the excess oil.

  4. Pour in a little batter and tilt the pan so that the batter makes a thin coating on the base.
